The Pursuit A Fox and O'Hare Novel edition by Janet Evanovich Lee Goldberg Literature Fiction eBooks
This story is different from the previous plots in the series because it is personal this time. Nick has been taken and is being used for the gain of a madman! Kate has to get him back at all costs. In addition to the usual cast some previously introduced characters from previous books were brought back into this scheme and given tidy endings. It was nicely done and now that I have read all the books I appreciated it. This story was full of twists and turns as usual, the comedy was spot on and the relationship between Kate and Nick has gone to a new level. It has all the right action, suspense, and humor that a girl can ask for. What I was not happy about comes down to the editing. In every book all the main characters receive a small introduction for those who this book may be their first time reading this series but this time Kate’s dad Jake was introduced twice. Also, there was a portion towards the end where Kate’s name was in place of the female bad gal. This book felt for the first time that two different authors wrote it and it was edited in such a manner that it was obvious.
What a let down. I did enjoy the story and it is worth reading! I just could not believe how poorly it was put together. I am hoping that they will correct the editing snafu’s and maybe republish a second edition. For your reference I read the hardcopy isbn#978-0-553-39277-7. I did rate the story four stars because I truly did enjoy the story. I left off one star because for me I missed some of the quirkiness and tongue-in-cheek that I was used to in the other stories so I felt it was a wee bit lacking. The editing issues complaint is for those of you who will read it, so that you know before hand.

The Pursuit A Fox and O'Hare Novel edition by Janet Evanovich Lee Goldberg Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I love how Nick Fox and Kate O'Hare's relationship has developed over the books. Janet Evanovich's writing is forumalic (if you've read her other books the formula is pretty obvious), but it definitely works. I especially liked the ending of this one and it made me wonder if this little series was over or if Fox and O'Hare's relationship will continue into another book. I'd miss the series, but I liked the ending of The Pursuit so I'd be okay with that too. Overall, Ms. Evanovich did not disappoint!
Evanovich and Goldberg have created a great, fun series. She is known for the Stephanie Plum series and he for the fun TV series, Monk. Fox is a con man --- O'Hara is an FBI agent. But although everyone thinks she is after Fox, they are working together to rid the fold of really, really bad people. This is a quick read - as well as packed with humor. The two gather cohorts to help them con the evil enemy.
love the plot and story of nick Fox and Kate ohare. They are working together ,one a con , the other FBI. They are trying to stop d a deranged criminal who wants to spread smallpox in California to gained riches and power. With the help of Kate's father, Jake, who was special ops and their many friends work together to put forth a plan to derail the mission. Very superbly written and well thought out, it seemed so real.
Not much of a story - not worth the time or money. These used to be clever If implausible - this one is neither
Not my favorite of the five books in this Fox and O'Hare series, nonetheless it did not disappoint. With these books you can count on getting a good dose of action, entertainment and good laughs.
I've really enjoyed this series so far. Not sure if this is where it ends, but I'll be keeping my eye out.
Unlike other books, not much goes "wrong" so to speak. Sure there are some diversions to the original plan, but those that weren't predictable, weren't extremely hard to deal with. The supporting characters found in their other novels, were in this one as well, but with a much smaller role.
Curious to see what's next.
The book is entertaining and storyline is cute with Nick and Kate, however, this story seems to just have a lot of directions and places written in to fill the pages to make the book reach a certain amount of pages. I didn't feel all of that was necessary for the book (personal preference) and the book was still very entertaining. I suppose it just felt like less than the prior books in the series.
I have read every Evanovich book. For me, this was a little too serious! It needed less war, more Jake and Willie type comedy and a little more fun between the main characters. This one wasn't worth the wait...or price. 😩
