This will sound so corny and cliche, but this book changed my life. Seriously, it did.

Now, with that said, what Susan Jeffers has to say in, "Feel The Fear...And Do It Anyway", isn't anything that's earth shattering or even new. Most of it is probably even things you may have thought yourself. However, the simplicity of what she says is delivered in a way that DOES make it fresh, new, and life changing.

I had been stuck in what a friend referred to as a "fur-lined rut" for well more than a decade. I knew I wanted to "unstick" myself, but just couldn't seem to make it happen. While reading through this the first time, I began putting the tenants into practice and began to see a change in my thinking first, and then in my actions next. I'm re-reading it again and the (positive!) changes keep flowing.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to make some change in their life but is held back by fear. This book doesn't make the fear go away - but it does inspire you to do what you need to do anyway.

Great, easy read. The author is so thorough...The only thing to fear is fear itself and once you open yourself up to the possibilities of life...life defiantly becomes much more interesting. This is a must read, especially for those who fell like they are in a rut and want more from life.
This book is a reminder that we can not live in a cave. We need to "live" our life and getting over the fear, is the pathway to real living and enjoying life. I highly recommend this book.
Very helpful book! I'm a little more than half-way through, but I love it. I've always struggled with taking risks and facing rejection (don't we all though?) and I can definitely say that this book has really helped me look at life in a different way, as corny as that sounds. I actually came across this book while working on a project at work and was so intrigued that I looked it up when I got home, ordered a sample on my kindle, and then purchased the book.

I'm very, very indecisive and it can be paralyzing to me and this book has helped me look at how to make decisions in a whole new light. I don't want to spoil the book for anyone so I won't go into detail, but it basically comes down to the fact that any decision you make with take you on a certain path and yield a different result. The focus is NOT on making a right or wrong choice, but deciding to make a decision and being confident with your choice. I HIGHLY recommend this book, it's wonderful and the writing style is natural and feels like your talking to a friend when you're reading it.
I read this book because I heard it was incredible, and because I'm at a place in my life where I'm ready to take on some new/scary endeavors, and wanted to know how to power through the fear. I learned that fear stops us from becoming greater versions of ourselves, and the importance of not necessarily becoming fearless, but to change your mindset and telling yourself it's okay to be afraid, be compassionate with yourself, and replace the negative inner voice with a positive one. I felt like some of the advice provided was general, which is great, but also felt like some of it was "it must be this way or that". She also talks about doing things WITHOUT fear when the premise of the book is about pushing you to be your greatest, most successful self in SPITE of fear. I encourage the reader to take from it what fits them, which is what I did.
Ok we all have fears and for the longest time mine has been that I will run out of time and won't be able to accomplish the goals I have for myself in the sport I do due to limitations that age brings when it comes to sports. We all know that professionally in some sports we are very limited in time to stay in top shape on high level trough you whole life .So I didn't want to slow down ,didn't want to do a vacation because I was afraid that If I fail in the future I will blame it on the time off I took until I came to a realization that there is such thing as stoping productivity when not recharging your batteries .
The picture bellow is from our vacation with my girlfriend. I took couple of books with me and it just happens one of them to be "Feel the fear and do it anyway".For a long time I was trying and approaching my fears in different ways but this book finally gave me some guidelines in to how to deal with it .In sport we always set up goals and with new goals new fears come and new comfort zones need to be conquered.I am really grateful to have the chance to read such an amazing literature .Thanks to the author Susan Jeffers .
One last thing I want to share is an experience I had while hiking the "Gross Piton" in St.Lucia (the one from the picture). We were talking with our guide and asking questions about the history of the island and the story he shared with us really struck me .He said that when the spaniards came here first they couldn't take over the island because the local Indians were fighting very fearless. I ask him but how come they had guns and the locals were using sticks pretty much .And his answer was what shocked me .He said they didn't fear the guns because they didn't recognize them as a threat because they didn't know what guns are and jumped straight in front of them and fought . It's crazy how sometimes we make such a scary picture out of things because we anticipate the worse case scenario. What if only we didn't know what to expect and go back to that curious stage when we were curious kids and just jumped in front of the new challenges fearless ?
This will sound so corny and cliche, but this book changed my life. Seriously, it did.

Now, with that said, what Susan Jeffers has to say in, "Feel The Fear...And Do It Anyway", isn't anything that's earth shattering or even new.
