When I finished reading K.N. Lee's "The Chronicles of Koa: Netherworld," I remember the anticipation which began to build from that moment for the story I knew was coming.

Well, "Dark Prophet: Book Two of the Chronicles of Koa" certainly did not disappoint. Koa and Halston are back, better than ever. It sets a precedent for me to finish reading fictional works the very same day I start them, but that's EXACTLY what happened this afternoon. An original, detailed plot--unique characters a reader finds themselves investing in readily--true hang-on-for-dear-life action--this book has it ALL. Lee writes in such a way she engages her audience from the opening sentence. I'm thrilled to say I've seen it happen twice now.

At this point, allow me to make something crystal clear: I'm not the type of reader who simply decides to review written material with the coveted 5-Star Rating just because others have before me. That's just not "how I roll". But, as I mentioned above, I'd already seen Lee's talent with her first Koa publication; Dark Prophet validates my anticipation. Five stars? By all rights, there SHOULD be a 5-Star PLUS designation specifically for K.N. Lee.

There's already a legion of fans out there who share my opinion.

K.N. Lee is a very good writer. I was a bit upset that all the books aren't included on Unlimited. Only the first one is. The series was good enough that I went ahead and purchased this one & am going to buy the third one also. Once it is released. This series weaves itself around Koa. A young woman who is a half vampire with the need for justice and vengeance. Things aren't as they seem to be. Which has Koa very mistrustful of those around her.
Dark Prophet is the second book in the Chronicles of KOA series. This should not be read as a standalone as it starts where the first book ended and ends in a cliffhanger. There is violence.

The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that information here. Just like the first book, there are twists and turns to keep you riveted while reading. I can't wait to read the next book!
Since I own the entire series I figured I would read it back to back and boy oh boy this book was more than the first. The action, suspense, twist and turns and the epic battles, both emotional and physical, kept me turning the pages wanting more. Now I am going to go read the conclusion to this epic trilogy
Dark Prophet is a quick and entertaining read comprised of two (2) parts.  It has vivid imagery with action, drama, and intrigue.  I appreciated the continuity with the previous book; it picked up right where the last story left off.  I was pleased with the glimpses of the past, and how the flowed with the present.  The various relationship dynamics kept me engrossed and invested.  The ending left me yearning for the next book.
I have to say that I was excited when I saw that "Dark Prophet Book Two of The Chronicles of Koa Series" had been released and that excitement was was placed as I found myself getting swept up in the world of Koa Ryeo-won once again. K.N. Lee has a talent for writing that allows the reader to truly step away from reality and enter a world were magical creatures, intrigue, destiny and far reaching plots come together to create a fantastically imaginative world.

This was a well-written novel that perfectly balanced between emotional drama, fast-paced suspense and edgy supernatural fantasy. The writing is lush, original, vivid and smooth; the plot is exciting and intriguing, keeping the reader locked into Koa's journey to save her mother and adapt to the changes as secrets about her are revealed to those she works with. Koa is a character that continues to captivate me... she's wonderfully real and authentic, creating a connection with the reader and making us invested in her journey from start to finish.

Overall, this was a wonderfully entertaining read that left me well satisfied and eager for the next book int he series.
As usual I was not dissappionted in another one of K N Lee's stories. An action packed story full of twists and turns keeping you intetested to know what happens next. With characters full of different and unigue personalities that bring the story alive and believable. There are struggles between good and evil and moral issues created by it. Along with sacrifices for choices made. I received a free copy of this book and was given the option to leave an honest review or not. I really love to read and when I find an author's writing I enjoy I like to endorse them and their stories by leaving a review without revealing to much of the story to not ruin it for others.
Wow, what a shocking ending! Koa, the half-blood, has her memories back and they aren’t pleasant. With her are brother and sister Jax, her first love and prophet, and Evina, the temptress. They are racing to escape the Netherworld after leaving Halston, the angel, behind to deal with the wraith. Koa is torn between the attractive Jax of her past and Halston who can never have her. She still doesn’t know what her other half is but some mysterious abilities start to show themselves meaning there is even more to her than she or her mother knew.
Koa has some decisions to make and seems to have done some growing up after her trip to the Netherworld. Halston also has to figure out what he wants as if he plans to return to Heaven, he can’t have Koa and so far he has been unclear with her how he feels. There are so many competing factions, some that no one knows about, it is impossible to know who to trust. I love the action scenes. They are well choreographed. I also love the ease with which the author makes the story multicultural. The feel is so natural. The ending is so shocking and exciting I can’t wait for the conclusion to this trilogy.
