Stonehenge Atlantis Series Book 2 eBook Lisa Graves
I was in love with the first book Atlantis, but Stonehenge I fell really deep into this world. I am in love with two men just like Lilly. I found myself guessing what was going to happen next, which made it more exciting. Elliott is a man who is truly in Love with Lilly even willing to make sacrifices to have her. Nicholas is so lovable and caring it is hard not to love him. The mystery behind the love of Lilly and Elliott and there past had me wanting more. The more the truth unfolds with Lilly and Elliott the more I find their love magical. It is really hard to get the second book right in a trilogy, but Stonehenge is a perfect response to Atlantis. It answer some questions you have, but also keep you wanting more. I am enjoying this world as much as I enjoyed the Twilight Series. The author really make you feel like you know these characters. This is a Captivating Book and I will read it over again and again. Books I love I read over and over. I now have a new series that will be in my read over again collection. I recommend this book, if you enjoy laughing, mystery, love, and suspense Stonehenge is for You!!!!

Stonehenge Atlantis Series Book 2 eBook Lisa Graves Reviews
"Stonehenge" attempts to answer the cliff-hanger questions that left some readers up in the air. Is Lilly Black losing her mind with talk of a mystical Italian lover named Elliott; or, is she freeing it to follow what seems like eternal love and happiness? Is Atlantis real? And what's up with Nicholas and Lilly...really?
To quickly quash concerns that "Stonehenge" won't answer these questions, it does. But in so doing, some of the deft balance between what's real and what isn't is lost. Instead, a more definitive and mortal air descends. Author Graves still maintains her magnificent mastery of imagery and wit throughout (with such gems as "I practically melted into the porcelain" and "his lips danced on my skin"). But for the most part, the dialog feels more mature; the romance, more intense; and the metaphors, more solemn (with leaps off high cliffs and dying leaves in autumn). Even Lilly's channeling magic camera and opal ring are second-string to a real-life code book that plays a larger role in deciphering the secrets.
Though somewhat dark, these new elements breathe enough of the magical essence of the original into "Stonehenge" to engage the reader...for the first half of the story, that is. In the second half, the enchanted aura evaporates into the everyday--and almost stays. The extended exploration of Lilly's [high school?] and holiday happenings introduces a subplot that, while comical, unfortunately slows the story's supernatural suspense. Lilly's mom Meredith is more visible and constantly tries to coax her daughter out of deepening introversion with "Friends. Boys. And TV for starters".
Speaking of boys, Nicholas's friendship with Lilly changes. And, while a bit overdeveloped in detail, helps the story find its fantasy footing in time. It is the key to a climactic metaphysical revelation that is "Stonehenge's" salvation and reason for elevation to 4-star status.
Like "Atlantis", "Stonehenge" is still a worthy read that exhibits strong syntax; painstaking character development; and electrifying imagination from a rising-star writer. With a more spiritually consistent second half, it would rival the original.
This key quote sums up the story "...[E]ternity with the one you love has a price." So too is there a price for having to resolve the many mysteries of "Atlantis" that is, the pace slows and the sequel becomes more secular than wholly supernatural.
Stonehenge picks up where Atlantis leaves off. The descriptive writing kept me engrossed in the lives of Lilly and Elliot. I couldn't wait to get back into their lives! It made me want to research the possibilities of projection and time travel of the mind. The secret codes kept me guessing right along with Lilly. This book is full of relatable characters that will have you feeling along with them. The only bad thing is that now I craving burnt pop tarts ;)
The story is good, but sometimes I wondered if it had been written by a twelve year old. The first book of the trilogy was also very immature in parts and sometimes it "dragged" a bit. I was hesitant to get the second book for that reason. However, I'll probably get the third one just for the sake of getting to the end of the whole story. I prefer to read "singles" so I don't have to wait for "the rest of the story."
